The third week of the NASL Fall Season may not have given the Jacksonville Armada FC the most desirable result, but for forward Tony Taylor, he had his first milestone with his new club that earned him a spot on the NASL Team of the Week.

The Armada FC traveled to Cary, N.C. to take on North Carolina FC Saturday night. The competition was going to be stiff, with the northern team sitting in first place in the NASL Fall Season Standings.

The night opened up with positive results for the visiting team though. In the third minute, Zach Steinberger passed the ball to Taylor in the midfield, who then ran the ball up and around the North Carolina defenders. He found his way to the box and one touch put the ball in the far side of the net. The goal marked the first by Taylor for the Armada FC, who joined the team just two weeks prior.

Taylor again helped his team in the 17th minute when he drew a foul in the penalty area. Jack Blake stepped up to take the penalty kick and doubled the lead for the Armada FC. Although North Carolina fought back and later notched two goals itself, Jacksonville was able to bring home one point from the 2-2 draw.

Taylor now looks to continue his offensive effort as the Fall Season continues. The Armada FC returns home tonight to face Puerto Rico FC at 7 p.m. Then, Jacksonville will play again at Hodges Stadium on Sunday against the Spring Season Champion, The Miami FC.
