Patterson-Sewell, Rebellon Placed on NASL Team of the Week

The Jacksonville Armada FC earned its fourth 1-0 victory over FC Edmonton this year on Friday in Canada. Goalkeeper Caleb Patterson-Sewell held strong inside the box and defender Bryam Rebellón kept the Eddies from creating opportunites. Both players assisted in the shutout and were placed on the NASL Team of the Week for their effort.

GK: Caleb Patterson-Sewell (Jacksonville Armada FC) – He made four saves en route to a shutout in a 1-0 victory over FC Edmonton.

DEF: Reiner Ferreira (San Francisco Deltas) – He scored a goal in San Francisco’s 3-0 win during the weekend. During the two games the Deltas played against Miami in Week 11 – the other a 1-1 draw – he won a total of 16 duels, made 11 clearances, made five interceptions, and won three tackles.

DEF: Christian Ibeagha (North Carolina FC) – The defender made seven clearances and five interceptions as he helped North Carolina keep a clean sheet in the 1-0 win over Puerto Rico FC.

DEF: Marco Franco (Indy Eleven) – He picked up a pair of assists over two games for Indy Eleven, which netted four points – 2-1 victory over Puerto Rico FC and a 2-2 draw with the New York Cosmos. He also won 19 duels across the two contests and won five tackles.

DEF: Bryam Rebellón (Jacksonville Armada FC) – The fullback had a strong game in Jacksonville’s shutout win. He won nine duels and three tackles as well as making five interceptions and three clearances in the victory.

MID: Don Smart (Indy Eleven) – The midfielder created six chances during two games for Indy as well as scoring a sensational goal to go along with an assist in the draw with New York.

MID: Javi Márquez (New York Cosmos) – The veteran midfielder’s shot led to the Cosmos’ first goal against Indy and then he followed it up with the equalizing goal in the draw with Indy.

MID: Emmanuel Ledesma (New York Cosmos) – He scored for the Cosmos and then supplied the assist on the game-tying goal for New York.

MID: Steven Miller (North Carolina FC) – He scored the lone goal in North Carolina’s win.

FWD: Eamon Zayed (Indy Eleven) – The veteran forward scored three goals across two games for the Boys in Blue. He was also named Player of the Week for his goalscoring efforts.

FWD: Tommy Heinemann (San Francisco Deltas) – He scored a pair of goals as San Francisco defeated Miami FC during the weekend.
