Jacksonville Armada FC plays host to FC Edmonton Wednesday, while Edmonton looks to play spoiler as the race to the postseason is in full-throttle.

The teams met just two weeks ago, where Jacksonville shut out the northern team for the fourth time this year. The teams are both hungry for points though as seven out of eight teams are still eligible for a seat in the NASL Championship Semifinals.

Jacksonville earned one point on Friday at Hodges Stadium against North Carolina FC in a draw. Zach Steinberger put Jacksonville on the board first after putting away a cross from Tony Taylor. North Carolina found their equalizer in the 36th minute by Renan Gorner. Neither team could pull ahead before the final whistle and the match ended knotted at 1-1.

FC Edmonton is coming off a draw also. The team played the New York Cosmos to a 0-0 end in Brooklyn on Saturday.

After Wednesday, Jacksonville has two matches remaining to gain more ground in the Combined Season Standings. Edmonton has one more match than the Armada FC to play, but remains 12 points behind a playoff seat at this time. With the competition so tight, each match is crucial for Jacksonville.
