REDEMPTION

Saturday’s game is the last regular season match and will be the second meeting of the teams, following the Armada FC’s loss in Naples, Fla. on June 30. The teams were scoreless until the 75th minute when Naples’ Jonathan Moyano put the home team on the board. The match ended 1-0.

Saturday’s match will give the Armada FC a chance to win on home turf. It is also important to note that the Armada FC is still undefeated at home.

This game will also determine where the Armada FC will stand in the 2018 NPSL Playoffs.

FIRST BERTH IN PLAYOFFS WITH WEDNESDAY WIN

The Jacksonville Armada FC clinched a playoff position after Wednesday’s 4-0 win over Storm FC in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. It is the first time in the history of the club that the Armada FC has qualified for playoffs.

The Armada FC had a rough start in the game after a lengthy lightning delay of almost three hours. Not long after they re-entered the field though, Ciarán Kilduff scored the first goal of the match. By halftime, Kilduff scored again and J.C. Banks put away a goal for a 3-0 lead. Banks would go on, after the half, to score the fourth goal of the match.

A LOOK AT THE OPPONENT

Naples United FC is currently sitting in 4th place in the NPSL Sunshine Conference with 1.4 points per game, but no longer has the chance to make it to the NPSL Playoffs.

The last time out for the team was the matchup with the Armada FC on July 30.

LOOKING AHEAD

Saturday’s match will determine what seed the Armada FC will hold in the NPSL Sunshine Conference Playoffs. The Armada FC is currently sitting in the No. 3 seed, but has the chance to secure the No. 1 or No. 2 seed. The NPSL Sunshine Conference Playoffs begin Wednesday, July 11 with the Semifinals.
