The Jacksonville Armada FC U-23 is preparing to kick off their 2023 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) season on Saturday, April 29th. The team will once again compete in the Gulf Coast Conference, playing a total of 10 matches. The Armada will face five opponents on the road and five at their home field. The first two home matches of the season are scheduled to be played at William H. Johnston Sr. Stadium at Bishop Kenny High School. Hodges Stadium at the University of North Florida (UNF) will serve as the home venue for the remainder of the season.
"We are very thankful to Principle Saladino for opening up the doors for us to play at Bishop Kenny High school, due to track meet conflicts at UNF in May we needed a solution that could provide a first class facility scheduled in that month," said Jacksonville Armada FC President Nathan Walter. Despite the temporary change in venue, the Armada is looking forward to returning to Hodges Stadium for the majority of their games. "We are very happy to be back at UNF for the 23 NPSL season. Hodges Stadium is a very special place in our history, even more after our US Open Cup victory last Thursday. I want to thank AD Nick Morrow and his staff for all their support," added Walter.
The Armada's first home game of the 2023 NPSL season will take place on Sunday, May 7th at 1:00pm against Southern States SC. All tickets are FREE and available for reservation on Eventbrite.com using the highlighted link.
