Playoffs Secured for Armada FC U-23

As the regular season wraps up, the Jacksonville Armada FC U-23 squad prepares for a seat in the NPSL Sunshine Conference Playoffs.

"It’s exciting to be a part of the playoffs," said head coach Aaron Pitchkolan. "Having been involved with the Armada as a player, assistant and now head coach I always want to see the club succeed. I’m excited for the players to have an opportunity to showcase themselves in a winner-takes-all game against Miami FC — the reigning league champions.”

 The playoff position was secured after a thrilling 3-3 draw with Central Florida SC on Saturday. The team came back from trailing 3-1 in extra time, by netting two goals to tie it up in the final minutes of the match.

The Sunshine Conference playoffs begin on Wednesday, July 10 with the Semifinals. The #1 seed will host the #4 seed and the #2 seed will host the #3 seed. The current standings dictate that Miami FC will host the Armada FC U-23. The Sunshine Conference Final will happen Saturday, July 13 before the winner of the conference advances on to the South Region Playoffs. View the NPSL website for more information about playoffs.

Two regular season matches on the road remain for the Armada FC U-23 before playoffs:

• Saturday, June 29 vs. Naples United FC at 5 p.m.
• Saturday, July 6 vs. Miami FC at 7 p.m.
