Land Option Agreement Approved with Mayor's Budget Review Committee

The Mayor’s Budget Review Committee (MBRC) approved a land option agreement Tuesday with RP Sports Investment Inc., the holding company of the Jacksonville Armada FC.

“We are working with Jacksonville city officials to bring a soccer-specific stadium to downtown Jacksonville with a maximum of 10,000 seats. From day one, Jacksonville Armada FC Owner Robert Palmer made a commitment to build the team a home for our fans and our community to enjoy the global game. This morning’s approval was the first step to making that a reality. The agreement will now be introduced into City Council, reviewed and potentially be voted on before the end of the year. Our focus will be working with City Council members, and the community to make this reality,” said Club President and General Manager Nathan Walter.
