The Jacksonville Armada FC announced the official partnership with two adult soccer leagues Monday as a part of the efforts to garner excitement for soccer within the community. Northeast Florida Soccer League (NEFSL) and Liga De Futbol Metales will receive the support from the Armada FC to raise awareness of local soccer opportunities for adults in Jacksonville.

“The Armada FC is proud to support soccer at all levels in our community. We have such a unique soccer scene in Jacksonville and we want as many to experience the game as possible. For those that love the game, but have their own commitments in life, they turn to adult soccer leagues. The Armada FC is excited to encourage adult participation through our fan base and beyond,” said Armada FC President and General Manager Nathan Walter.

The Armada FC will support local initiatives with both leagues through event support and incentives. League championship games will also be held in conjunction with Armada FC matches. The Armada FC first team will also play the league all-stars in exhibition matches. More information about these events will be announced at a later date.

“The NEFSL is truly excited to partner with the Jacksonville Armada FC in our collective quest to create a true community alliance of the sport we all love dearly,” said NEFSL Director of Business Development Michael Cornell.

“Soccer is very prominent in the hispanic culture. We love the game for life. Liga Metales is so glad to now receive the support of the Armada FC and we look forward to collaborating this year with exciting events,” said Salvador Leon, owner of Casa Leon Mexican Restaurant and Liga Metales Soccer League founder and president.
